The annual “Spring Show,” combining a number of attractions into one, was again a big success this year with hundreds of people attending.

Three students, Nancy Groneman, Glenn Shields, and Danny Peterson, received scholastic honors at Centre graduation. The trio started their education in September 1953 and attended a one-room school for seven of their 12 years of education, receiving high scholastic honors each year.

Vernon Goentzel, Marion, received $50 in Wednesday’s Cash Day drawing. Wm. Carr, Marion, received $5; Carl Cott, Lincolnville, missed $10; Wm. Schimpf, Marion, received $5; and Mrs. Frank A. Franta, Lincolnville, received $10.
