A number of Peabody basketball fans were in Wichita Monday night to see the NCAA playoff game between Texas Western and Oklahoma City University. Their particular interest was in the Texas Western team since one of the players was Dick Myers, former star of the Peabody High School Warriors.

Mr. and Mrs. Vic Strotkamp are the parents of a son born March 4 at Bethel Hospital in Newton. He has been named Kevin Paul.

A new home is being constructed in Peabody for Mrs. Ben McClure. It is being built in the 600 block of Chestnut between the L.R. Manahan and Jess Stucky homes.
