Ruth’s Dress Shop in Peabody will close its door today, Jan. 13, manager Rosalee Baker announced.

Vernon Harsh was honored by fellow postal employees Friday at a party held at the Legion building honoring his 23½ years in the postal service.

Richard B. Wilbur, lifelong resident of Peabody, died Jan. 5 after suffering a stroke. The deceased was the projectionist at Sunflower Theater for many years starting during the silent movie days and staying until it closed.
