Mrs. Victor Seibel was a patient at Bethel Hospital in Newton from Monday to Wednesday for minor surgery.

Wilber Hanneman lost a 475-pound calf and suffered about $200 in damage to his truck in an accident, which occurred two miles west of Peabody on U.S. Highway 50.
