Marion Advancement Campaign opened its fireworks stand Tuesday morning at 162 E. Main St.

Committee members will take turns manning the stand, which it will remain open through July 5. Profits will go to MAC, which invests in the future of Marion.

Rosie the Rhino, a concrete cutie belonging to Central National Bank is pictured on Page 1. She is decked out for the Fourth of July and was chosen by the Chingawassa Days committee as the best-decorated rhino.

Marion High School student Trent Radtke recently constructed a special no-back booster car seat used by Safe Kids of Marion County to demonstrate proper use of safety car seats.
