Citizens from Peabody and surrounding rural area gathered Monday night at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church to hear plans for expansion of Clarence Busenitz’s feedlot two miles west of town.

Peabody native Dick Myers is pictured addressing a crowd Nov. 28, 2005, at University of Texas — El Paso. The event was the unveiling of a commemorative box of Wheaties featuring the 1966 NCAA championship won by Texas Western College — now UTEP. Myers was a member of that basketball team.
