All around you are ads saying "Buy Now, Doors Open Early" targeting all of the holiday shoppers who are looking for the perfect gift. Shopping at these run of the mill department stores will get you the same gift that everyone else is giving and receiving.
If you are looking for the perfect gift that you can't get at a department store chain and is available only in Peabody, Peabody Main Street Association can help. Main Street offers several unique items for your favorite alumni, former, or current resident.
Main Street is offering the final Limited Edition Christmas Ornament featuring the west side of the historic downtown. This is the final and 12th year. There still are ornaments left over from previous years so if your collection is not complete it is likely we can help you out. To date two years have sold out.
Buy one ornament for $12 or two or more are $8 each.
Two new items this year are the handy aprons and navy blue caps featuring the 1887 City Building. The aprons are available for $15 each and the hats for $10 each.
Main Street still has coffee mugs for $6 each, collectors' photograph with history $6 each, and key chains $3 each, all featuring the old high school.
For your holiday cards or everyday use, blank note cards featuring the Santa Fe Depot, the former elementary school, the former bank building (currently Sharon's Korner Kitchen), and the first free library (currently the Peabody Museum). There are eight in a set and are $6 per set.
You don't have to be a local to shop locally. Getting up early to buy these great items is not a problem. All of these items are available online 24/7 at the Main Street Marketplace online store. But don't wait
You may access the online store by going to www.peabodyks.com and clicking the Main Street Marketplace link or you may contact the Main Street office to place an order at 620-983-2174.
