Yoder brothers earn honors
Peabody natives Alan and Dan Yoder were named to the 2006-07 NCAA Division II All-Academic Track and Field team by the U.S. Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association.
The brothers were two of eight from Fort Hays State University chosen, which included five women and three men.
Alan, a senior, finished his career by setting a new school record in the decathlon. A four-year letterwinner, he also holds the indoor school record in the heptathlon.
Dan, a sophomore, qualified for both the indoor and outdoor Track and Field Championships this past season.
It is the second time he has earned the honor of being selected for the team.
Dan also is a member of the cross country team.
