Florence has one remarkable character, and that is George Bacon, who has seen the passing of 99 winters and the approach of that many springtimes. George Bacon, the father of Mrs. Frank Ireland, has not been as well the past few months as usual and is now suffering from a boil on his head. Not many weeks ago he fell off the porch and cut a deep gash on his head which required four stitches to close. But he has recovered from the injuries received in the fall. Mr. Bacon will be 99 years of age on June 12.
