Young people and sponsors of the Christian Youth Fellowship worked last Thursday evening on cleaning up the lots at 2nd and Main streets. Fourteen youths helped with the project. They were greatly assisted by the work of Fritz Koch with his grader. Flowers to be planted were given by Mrs. F.B. Graham and Mrs. J.C. Riggs. However, the ground was too dry for planting Thursday, so the youths plan to return to the lots and do more work some evening soon.

Michael Huntley celebrated his eighth birthday Wednesday. He treated the second grade to ice cream and cup cakes.

Larry Lalouette is the only one in third grade with perfect attendance.

Fritz Koch has added a couple of interesting conversation pieces to his yard. One is a Ferris wheel made of wagon wheels, the seats are planted with flowers. An ox yoke mounted on posts has three buckets of flowers hanging from it. Both pieces are unique and attractive.
