The Ike Steinhoff residence was moved last weekend from East Fourth Street to the Grandview Addition. Martin Wedel of Goessel moved the house and Steinhoff says he was well pleased with the way it was moved.
The privilege of voting was not taken lightly in Florence this week. Several people inconvenienced themselves considerably in order to be eligible to vote. Ike Steinhoff, whose home was moved to the hill last week, heard that his vote might be challenged if he tried to vote in the third ward. When he heard this, he immediately drove to Oklahoma after his trailer, placed it at the address occupied by his home until last Thursday and has been living there in order to be eligible to vote.
A group of men were leaving for McPherson Tuesday morning to get shrubs and trees which had been donated to the Florence Chamber of Commerce. They waited until 9 a.m. to leave until everyone of the group had a chance to vote.
