Florence firemen held a training school conducted by the University of Kansas. Firemen winning a certificate by test and attendance were: Harold Huntley, Charles Hodges, Charles Larkin, Clyde Louis, Cecil Rotz, Delbert McElhiney, George Broz, D.D. Kendrick, and Vic Orpin.
The children in the second grade who did not miss a word this week are Kenneth Adrian, Michael Huntley, Dennis Kelsheimer, Howard Savage, Cynthia Batt, Norma Ducummon, Reah Ireland, Ann Patry, Margene Savage, Carolyn Shipman, and Vicki Westerhaus. Those who have had perfect attendance this last six weeks are Kenneth Adrian, Dennis Pankratz, Norma Ducummon, Reah Ireland, Anne Patry, and Margene Savage.
