Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Stevens accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Dewy Stevens, Karen and Cindy to Wichita Sunday to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Cortese and Michelle for the evening meal honoring Mother's Day and the May birthdays. others there were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Sinclair, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Eckerle, Renae, Shirley, and Brian, Mrs. Elaine Eckerle, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Mann, Doug, Darla, and Don, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jennings, all of Wichita and Mrs. Harry Nordyke of Hugoton, sister of Mrs. Stevens.
Saturday, May 15, at 7:30 p.m. the freshman class of the Florence Junior High will put on the play "The Wizard of Oz." Tickets are $1.50 adults and 50 cents students and children. The play will take place at the new gym. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.
