In the Chamber of Deputies, M. Grousette, radical Socialist, interpellated the government on the indiscretions of the general staff in the Dreyfuss affair. He read extracts from newspaper articles which are alleged to have emanated from members of the general staff, which caused a violent uproar, during which the deputies rose and rushed at one another and engaged in a series of fistfights. As one of the results of the insults exchanged during the debate in the chamber today, Antide Boyer, radical Socialist, has sent his seconds to M. Deroulade, revisionist, and M. Ganthier, revisionist, who characterized M. Boyer as a "white washed Panamanian."

Sunday was a bad day for the Santa Fe. The fast mail train was wrecked Sunday morning at Horners by running into a freight train. The accident occurred just at the switch there. The engine on the freight was disabled and could not get in the clear. Flagmen were sent out to warn approaching trains, but the fast mail could not stop in time. Both trains were badly damaged, but no one was hurt except the conductor of the passenger train, who jumped from the train and received several painful hurts. The same morning two freight trains ran together near Winfield, delaying traffic for several hours.
