Writer attends open house in Marion

Joyce Kyle drove to Marion Sunday afternoon to the home of Jerry and Norma Kline. Their aunt, Hazel Stenzel of Springfield, Mo., was visiting and they had open house for some of her friends and relatives. Ken and Hazel were cousins, it was so nice to visit with her as well as other relatives and friends.

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale called on Twylah Nightengale in Florence Tuesday morning. They report she is doing quite well.

Ronnie and Patti Gaines went to Shiloh Manor Friday evening to visit Esther Highfill. All went to McPherson to eat supper. Patti went to Peabody Saturday morning to help distribute Heartland Shares.

Shelby Plummer attended the circus Saturday evening with Emily Langenegger, Daniel Unruh, Amber and Laura Langenegger, and Laura's friend.

Lawrence and Lois Sayers visited their daughter Sandy Sayers in El Dorado Sunday afternoon.

Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn left Aug. 9 for Mifflinburg, Pa., to visit their daughter Cathy and husband Willie Bender and family. Judy returned home Aug. 16 and Vernon and Florine came home Aug. 19. They report an enjoyable vacation.

Chris Stucky and son Dayton of Newton called on Joyce Kyle Tuesday evening. Albert Gustainis called Thursday evening to work on her computer.

Joyce Kyle helped Dee Morgan do some packing Wednesday evening. The community is sorry to see Larry, Dee, and Steven Morgan move from our community to Hesston. They truly will be missed, but we wish them well.
