Writer attends open house

Evelyn Sidener was a Sunday lunch guest of Joyce Kyle. In the afternoon they went to Marion and joined other senior citizens traveling to Manhattan to the open house of the new Flint Hills Center that houses the NC-FH Area Agency on Aging. It was a delightful experience.
Ronnie and Patti Gaines went to Canton Friday to Shiloh Manor to pick up Patti's mother Esther Highfill. They all went to McPherson where they met Kenny and Roma Koehn and had supper together. Ronnie's mother Maude Gaines was a Saturday dinner guest of Ronnie and Patti. Dusty Gaines of Newton was a Sunday dinner guest of his parents.
Marvin and Sherol Nightengale went to El Dorado Friday evening to watch their grandson Roger Nightengale play basketball.
Lois Sayers enjoyed lunch Wednesday with the secretaries of the Wichita Board of Education in Wichita.
Sara Sayers of Florence was a Saturday afternoon caller of Lawrence and Lois Sayers. Sara came later and picked up her sister Megan to spend the night with her, bringing Megan back Sunday.
Wanda Koehn and Arlene Koehn went to Moundridge Manor Thursday and had lunch with their grandmother Eva Koehn. They were celebrating Eva's 103rd birthday which was Jan. 5.
