Bill and Margie Williams helped their grandson Elliot Soyez celebrate his 13th birthday last Sunday at the home of his parents, Will and Gayla Soyez.

Others there were Elliot's sister Samantha, Gary and Carl Williams, Terry Steinbacher of Wichita, Neva Hicks of Oklahoma, Becca Kukuk of Hutchinson, Dolly Soyez, John Soyez, Frank and Chris Soyez, Mary, Lanny Turner, Katie, Sara, Megan, Tonya, and Molly Soyez.

We had a visiting minister, Brian Wonworth of Manhattan Christian College, at Wonsevu Sunday morning. His message was entitled "Being Called by God," with scripture taken from John 3:16.

Hazel Clothier and her daughter Teresa Hill and family were in Newton Tuesday on business. Hazel met Joyce Hett for lunch Thursday at the Stone City Café in Marion.

My sisters from Arkansas, Julia Reddin of El Dorado, and Thelma Thigpen of Little Rock, will be here this evening.

They're coming to help Bill and me celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.

Terry Steinbacher and Neva Hicks were our Friday dinner guests. Grandson Carl Williams of Manhattan was our Saturday and Sunday dinner guest.

Others guests Sunday evening were Gayla Soyez, Elliot and Samantha, Gary Williams, Terry Steinbacher, and Neva Hicks.
