Wonsevu: Retreat enjoyed at Homestead School House

A girls' retreat was held Friday and Saturday night at Homestead School House. Those present were Patti Mitchell and Amy, Carol Grosse of Peabody, Trish Williams and Pamela of Hillsboro, and Amy's friend, Cora Williams of Hillsboro. Patti said they were just going to spend Friday night, but were having such a good time they stayed Saturday night.
Jack Mitchell left Thursday for Oklahoma with International Club to do some rock climbing. He will return Sunday.
John and Denise Lang, Jaimie, Jessica, and Dustin went Thursday night to the football game at the middle school. Johnny was one of the players. John, Johnny, and Jaimie went Friday night to the high school football game at Cottonwood Falls.
Overnight guest Friday and Saturday of Jaimie was Kelly Dorneker of Cottonwood Falls.
Grandson Carl Williams of Manhattan was a Sunday dinner guest of Bill and Margie Williams.
Hazel Clothier had lunch Thursday with Sandy Harper at Chuck Wagon restaurant at Florence. On Friday, Hazel also had lunch at Chuck Wagon with her daughter, Teresa Hill of Marion.
Visitors Monday morning of Everett and Janet Cress were Jim and Valerie Whitcomb of Oregon. Everett and Janet ate supper Wednesday and Saturday evenings with Brandon Carri and family of Cedar Point.
Lonnie and Sharon Smith and Julia went Friday night to the homecoming ball game and parents' night for the seniors. Their game was with Peabody.
Justin, Sarah, and Julia are preparing supper at Justin and Sarah's home to celebrate Sharon's birthday.
