Wonsevu news: Johnny Lang plays in state tournament

Johnny Lang's baseball team won the district tournament. Denise said they are real proud of the team. Johnny's team is at the state tournament at Chanute this weekend. He stayed with a host family.
Jack and Patti Mitchell and Amy went to Oklahoma this past week to visit Jessica and the grandchildren. They also visited Jack's family and Patti's family.
Patti and Amy visited Carol Grosse Saturday at Peabody and baked 4-H cookies. They have been busy getting ready for the fair. Amy has several projects she's working on.
Julia Smith went Thursday and Friday with teachers to the Future Business Leaders of America Conference at Lawrence. Julia said she has been busy working on her fair projects.
Hazel Clothier attended a luncheon Wednesday at Carriage Manor at Florence. Hazel and Bill and Margie Williams met Jean Everett Tuesday evening at Florence for supper at Town and Country Café
Dinner guests of Bill and Margie Williams Saturday were Gary Williams of Colby, Terry Stienbacher of Wichita, and Carl Williams and Becca Kukuk of Manhattan. Sunday dinner guests were Carl and Becca. Their evening visitors were Will and Gayla Soyez, Elliot and Samantha of Florence. They enjoyed a pre-birthday celebration with cake and ice cream.
