I'm making a correction to a statement I made last week. My mistake was reporting that the Goddard girls' basketball team went into overtime, which they didn't.

John Lang was home for the weekend from Arizona.

Denise Lang and Jamie visited Denise's granddaughter, Dana Maddox, Saturday afternoon.

Julia Smith and friend Erin England went to Shreveport, La., to spend a few days. They will be attending a baby shower for her cousin. Julia made a baby quilt for her.

Last Sunday we celebrated Bill's birthday. Those here to help him celebrate his birthday were Gary Williams, Will and Gayla Soyez, Elliot and Samantha, and Carl Williams of Wamego. We wish him many more birthdays.

Doni Rogers attended a senior dinner Tuesday at Burns. Peabody-Burns USD 398 Superintendent Rex Watson gave a presentation of the school's finances.

Bill and Sharon Scheffler of Colwich were Doni's guests Friday.

On Saturday Sandy Cunningham was Doni's lunch guest.

Pat and Janet Post of Burns visited Hazel Clothier this past week.

On Friday Hazel met her daughter, Teresa Hill of Marion, at Pizza Hut for lunch.

Saturday dinner guests of Bill and Margie Williams were Carl and Becca Williams of Wamego.

Our dinner guest on Saturday was Gary Williams. Afternoon visitors were Carl and Becca Williams of Wamego.

Monday visitors of Everett and Janet Cress were their great-grandson Oliver Ownbey and his mother, Rylee, of Hutchinson, and his grandmother Shannon Foster of Newton. They were lunch and supper guests.

Janet Cress and Letha Goerins went to Marquette Friday to help their mother, Lorene Whitcomb, celebrate her 87th birthday. Others in attendance were Julia Ritter and Kim Parks. Molly Park later joined them. We wish Lorene many more birthdays.

A Saturday dinner guest of Everett and Janet was Brandon Cress of Cedar Point. Later in the afternoon Sandy Cunningham visited them.

We extend get well wishes to Chloe Triggs. She's in our thoughts and prayers.
