Wonsevu: New Year's guests, celebrations enjoyed

Bill and Margie Williams attended a New Year's Eve party at the home of Richard and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point. Others in attendance were Don and Twylah Nightengale and Ron and Doreen Kirkpatrick of Florence, Mason and Betty Fetrow and Marvin and Sherry Nightengale of Burns, Delmar and Donna Fink and Eric and Cindy Moore, Gavin and Gabe of Marion.

Hazel Clothier accompanied her daughter Teresa Hill and family to McPherson New Year's Day to meet Kevin's parents, Bill and Mary Hill of Great Bend and pick up their daughter, Nellie. Nellie had spent a week at Great Bend with her grandparents.

New Year's supper guests of Bill and Margie Williams were Will, Gayla, Elliot, and Samantha Soyez of Florence.

Guests visiting Harold and Bernice Odle during the holidays were Blake and Julie Griffin of Snellville, Ga., Jack and Sherry Odle and family of Birmingham, Ala., Mike and Jana Cochran and Lauren of Overland Park, Harold and Shirley Steadman and Lee and Janet Ayers and Emilie of Cottonwood Falls, Mike Steadman of Strong City, David and Susan Foley of Clements, and Jerry Odle.

Guest of Lonnie, Sharon, Justin, and Julia Smith was Lonnie's brother Floyd Smith from Toronto.

Denise, John, Johnny, and Jaimie Lang's guests on Wednesday were Denise's dad Hank Janzen and wife of Wichita.

Ladies Aid met Thursday for an all day meeting. Those present were Denise Lang, Evelyn Sidener, and Bev Morgan.

Hazel Clothier and Joyce Hett had dinner together Thursday at Town and Country Café, then visited Lois Huntley. Hazel visited Harvey Wells and Ernestine later that afternoon. Friday overnight guests of Hazel were her daughter and grandchildren, Teresa Hill, Nellie, Heath, and Cassidy of Marion.

Friday overnight guest of Johnny Lang was Trenton Heathman of Strong City.

Amy Mitchell was a Saturday overnight guest of Jamie Lang.

Saturday guests of Everett and Janet Cress were Terry Burington and Alan of Olathe and Bill Henricks and friends from Emporia.

Bill and Margie Williams and Hazel Clothier joined Jean Everett and Truman and Opal Strong at the Town and Country Café Saturday evening for supper.

Hazel Clothier visited Leo and Dorothy Scharenberg of Cedar Point Sunday afternoon.

Carl Williams visited David Tharp in Marion Sunday afternoon.
