Wonsevu: Ladies Aid attends dinner at Cedar Point

Wonsevu Ladies Aid attended the Christmas potluck dinner last Thursday at the Community Church at Cedar Point. Members attending were Denise Lang, Margaret Morgan, Evelyn Sidener, Bev Morgan, and Margie Williams. Hostesses were Bev Reynolds, Louise Shumate, and Marsha Jackson. It was really nice. Our thanks to them for inviting us.
Pastor Clint Stopple's message Sunday morning, "What Does it Take to be a Hero? Heroes are Made, not Born," was taken from John 1:1-18.
Wonsevu Christian church will have its Christmas program at 11 a.m. Dec. 22. There will be a potluck dinner following the program. Guests are invited.
We extend get well wishes to Lee Sidener at Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Get well wishes, also, to Lois Huntley who is on the sick list.
Hazel Clothier and Teresa Hill were in Newton Monday. Hazel visited Joyce Hett in Marion on Tuesday, and on Friday visited Lois and Bus Huntley in Florence. Hazel visited Bob and Cecilia Gayle in Florence Sunday afternoon.
Johnny and Jaimie Lang, Julie Smith, and Amy Mitchell attended a 4-H cooking class Saturday at Cedar Point. They passed out cookies in the community.
John and Denise Lang, Johnny and Jaimie attended Johnny's middle school music program Friday night. Julie Smith was a Saturday overnight guest of Jaimie and Trent Heathman of Strong City was Johnny's overnight guest.
Carl Williams of Manhattan was a Saturday supper and Sunday dinner guest of Bill and Margie Williams. Sunday supper guests were Will and Gayla Soyez, Elliot and Samantha of Florence.
