Wonsevu: Granddaughter's team to play in Oklahoma

Our granddaughter, Samantha Soyez, plays on a basketball team in Wichita. They're playing this weekend in Tulsa, Okla., for the championship. She's a fourth grader and we are very proud of her.
Clint Stopple's message Sunday morning "Remembering Who Is In The Ship With Us," was taken from Matthew 8:23-27.
Wonsevu Christian Church members are invited on Wednesday to the senior center in Cottonwood Falls to have lunch with them.
Ladies Aid will meet Thursday for an all-day meeting.
John, Denise, Johnny, and Jaime Lang attended the basketball game at Chase County Saturday. Johnny was one of the players. They played Council Grove and Johnny's team won.
Saturday overnight guest of Jaime Lang was Robin Grokett of Cottonwood Falls.
Bill and Margie Williams' dinner guests on Saturday were Carl Williams of Manhattan and Hazel Clothier. The Williams and Hazel met Jean Everett at Town and Country in Florence Saturday and had supper together.
Hazel Clothier visited Joyce Hett in Marion Thursday. They had lunch together. Hazel and Joyce visited Friday afternoon with Lois Huntley in Florence. Later in the afternoon, Hazel visited Harvey Wells and Ernestine in Florence.
