Wonsevu: Church postpones service

Wonsevu Christian Church postponed their church services Aug. 31 due to too many absences.

We extend get well wishes to Bennie Holtsclaw who is in Via Christi-St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita. We wish he will be better soon. We miss him and Marie.

Denise Lang was a Friday afternoon caller of Margie Williams. Sunday dinner guests at the Bill Williams' home were Gary Williams, Carl Williams of Manhattan, Terry Stienbacher of Wichita, Will, Gayla, Elliot, and Samantha Soyez of Florence, and John and Frank Soyez of Cedar Point. The occasion was to help Will celebrate his birthday. We wish him many more.

We extend birthday wishes to Sheldon Harshman who had a birthday on Monday. We also wish him many more.

Bev Reynolds and her aunt Bonnie Carinden of El Dorado went to Edmond, Okla., last weekend to visit Bev's cousin Jan Beaty and family. Bev and Orval Goodwin visited Bev's aunt Opal Frederick in the hospital in Hutchinson. We extend get well wishes to her. Kathy Dowell was a Saturday overnight guest of Roy and Bev Reynolds.

We extend sympathy to the family of Joseph Macaulisse. We know it is never easy to lose a father.

Bill and Margie Williams attended the memorial service for Bill's brother Cliff (C.G.) Williams Aug. 10 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Hot Springs, Ark. We returned home Aug. 13. We visited other family members in Little Rock, El Dorado, and Harrel while there. We thank and appreciate the many cards and flowers we received. Knowing we were though of was special.

Denise and John Lang had a birthday celebration Saturday for Johnny's birthday party with his baseball boys. They went frog hunting and had frog legs for breakfast.

Jaimie Lang stayed overnight Saturday with Jessica Lang in Cottonwood Falls and they and Emily Horst went to Wichita. Jaimie returned home Sunday. Johnny and Jaimie were happy to be back in school.

Friday overnight guests of Hazel Clothier were her grandchildren, Nellie, Heath, and Cassidy Hill of Marion. The children returned home with their parents, Kevin and Teresa, on Saturday. The Hill family were guests of Hazel on Sunday.
