95-year-old man: "I've got a better idea than either of you. I'd rather die from smoke inhalation from blowing out 100 candles on my birthday cake."

Quote of the week

Former Ladies Aid members met Saturday for lunch at Town & Country Café.

Those present included Denise Lang, Bev, Jean, Evelyn Sidener and Margaret, Marie Hoffner, Reva Goodwin, visitor Dawna Schmidt, Doni Rogers, and Margie Williams.

We had a great time visiting and remembering lots of the fun ties we had at Wonsevu and we still miss that time together. Everyone signed a birthday card for Denise, wishing her a happy birthday.

We extend our sympathy to the family of little Caleb Weset. We know how it is to lose one so young. Know he will be missed.

Jessica Lang of Cottonwood came Sunday to the home of John and Denise Lang, Johnny and Jaimie to help Denise celebrate her birthday.

Hazel Clothier ate lunch Wednesday at Carriage Manor in Florence. She ate lunch Friday with daughter, Teresa Hill of Marion and Lenora Smith. They ate at the Chuck Wagon in Florence. She ate lunch Sunday with Janice Shanklin at the Chuck Wagon.

Denise Lang was a Saturday afternoon visitor of Margie Williams.

Gary Williams of Colby, Carl Williams of Wamego, and Will and Gayla Soyez, Elliot and Samantha of Cedar Point were Sunday dinner guests of Bill and Margie Williams. We celebrated Will's birthday.
