Everett and Janet have a new great-grandson born New Year's Day — Oliver William Cayle Ownby. We extend congratulations to Everett and Janet.

John, Denise, and Johnny Lang attended Denise's aunt, Pat Foth's funeral Friday in Marion.

John, Denise, Johnny, and Jaimie Lang attended a movie in Wichita Sunday and went out to eat.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Mary Sauble. She was a very nice neighbor and will be missed by the many people who knew her.

Bill and Margie Williams attended the visitation for Mary Sauble at Zeiner's Funeral Home Friday evening at Marion.

Bev Reynolds, Everett and Janet Cress, Hazel Clothier, Kevin and Teresa Hill, and Bill and Margie Williams attended Mary Sauble's funeral service Saturday morning at Cedar Point school.

Bertha Linnens joined Bill, Gary, and me for dinner Saturday noon at Town and Country Café. We enjoyed our visit with her.

We extend get well wishes to Mason Fetrow in the hospital at this time. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Sunday dinner guests of Bill and Margie Williams were Carl and Becca Williams of Wamego.

Dale and Tootsie Snelling attended the second birthday party Saturday for their great-grandson, Nathaniel Gireno of Wichita.

On the way home they stopped in El Dorado and attended a surprise birthday party for Dale's niece, Jaci Beeman.

We wish Nathaniel and Jaci a happy birthday and many more.

Betty Fetrow told Bill that Mason is in Wesley Hospital in Wichita.

Doni Rogers and Joyce Kyle visited Kathleen Brenzikofer Friday in the hospital at Newton.

We extend get well wishes to Kathleen, wishing her a speedy recovery.

Last week's news

Christmas dinner guests of John, Denise, Johnny, and Jaimie Lang were Jessica, Dusty, and Dana Maddox of Strong City.

Our wish is that each of you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a great New Year.

We extend get-well wishes to Kathleen Brenzikofer in Newton Medical Center.

We extend sympathy to John and Denise Lang and family at the loss of Denise's aunt Pat. Our sympathy also goes to the family of Robby Archer. He was a very nice person to do work for you and he will be missed. We extend sympathy to Lonnie and Sharon Smith and family at the death of Lonnie's brother, Floyd Smith.

Lonnie Smith, Sharon, Julia, and their family went to Don and Erma Smith's in Toronto for Christmas Eve. Sharon said about 80 attended. Christmas Day Lonnie, Sharon, and Julia's houseguests were Justin, Sara, and Lane. Saturday evening they celebrated Lane's first birthday. Lane, we wish you a happy birthday and many more. Lane was a Saturday overnight guest.

Hazel Clothier spent Christmas Eve day with her daughter and family Teresa, Kevin, Nellie, Heath, and Cassidy Hill of Marion. Tuesday Hazel and Lanora Smith enjoyed lunch in Newton.

Doni Rogers went to Hutchinson and spent Christmas Eve and Christmas with family. Christmas Eve they attended services at the Methodist church. Following the church service they drove around looking at the Christmas lights. Friday Doni visited Bernice Odle and Bernice's guests, her daughter Jana and family, and her daughter Julie.

Dale and Tootsie Snelling had their Christmas family dinner. Doni Rogers was one of the guests.

Saturday overnight guests at the Snelling home were Mark, Leann, Kiana, and Levi Lewman of Sedgwick; Dean Snelling of Goessel; Danny and Seth of Marion; and Kristy, Jeremiah, and Nathanial Seim of Wichita. Sunday guests were Tammy and Tristen of Marion, Julie, Madison, Merdeil, and Mercedes Aycock from Newton.

Christmas morning Dale and Tootsie Snelling attended Mass in Florence. They had dinner at the Chuck Wagon Café with Linda Britton and Joe Heath. Tootsie said it was really a good dinner.

Sunday dinner guests of Everett and Janet Cress were Mike Mohn, Brandon, Montana, and Hunter of Cedar Point.

Doni Rogers called on Bill and Margie Williams the morning of Dec. 23. She surprised me with a very good birthday cake. When your birthday is on Christmas Day you don't get very many birthday cakes. Enjoyed the many birthday cards. We never get too old to enjoy them.

Our Christmas Eve dinner guest was our son Gary Williams. Christmas guests were Gary Williams; Will, Gayla, Elliot, and Samantha Soyez of Florence; Terry Stienbacher of Wichita; Neva Hicks of Okmogee, Okla.; and Hazel Clothier. Wednesday evening guests were our son-in-law and grandson, Will and Elliot. We enjoyed a few games of pitch. A Sunday dinner guest was Hazel Clothier.

Christmas dinner guests of Roy and Bev Reynolds were Kathy and Floyd Dowell of Leon and Darin and Tina Regier of Wichita. Sunday Kathy went with Roy, Bev, Kelley, Alan, and Chelsea Reynolds to Winfield. They celebrated Kelley's 20th birthday. They all went out to lunch. Kelley, we wish you a happy birthday and many more.
