Women's Fair committee excited about new event

The Women's Fair committee has been hard at work on the Aug. 2 "How Does Your Garden Grow?" series. Members hope the community noted their first place float in Peabody's Fourth Fest parade!

The committee is proud to have a lineup of talented local women for the "Sunflower, Scents, and Sorbet" event. The fair will begin with Kay Liefer presenting her expertise as a bionetic practitioner.

Pat Ketchum will share the way she has learned to journal with her mastery of the English language.

Diane Yock will then exhibit her cooking talents with the creation of a few summer dishes. All guests will be given the opportunity to sample her recipes.

Marilyn Jones will finish the morning's presentation as she relates the history of the Peabody Sunflower Theater.

The committee is excited about the new booths that will be available to those interested in displaying their goods and/or services. The booths will be space limited and offered on a first come first serve basis for a minimal fee.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. until about noon Aug. 2 at the Peabody Senior Center. Advance registration fee is $5 and can be mailed to Peabody Main Street or dropped off at the Peabody City Building.

The fair is certain to be a fun, relaxing, and informative one for all women. Please contact Joanna Brazil at 620-983-2174 with any questions.
