Women injured after vehicle overturns

Several women were injured during a one vehicle accident that occured Monday afternoon near Peabody.

Wendy Conklin, 20, of Florence was driving a Ford F150 Super Crew pickup Monday one and one-half miles east of Nighthawk on 120th when she lost control of the pickup and overturned about one and one-half times.

She was transported to Hillsboro Community Medical Center by Florence Ambulance.

Rosemary Knak, a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to Newton Medical Center by Peabody Ambulance.

Another passenger, Donna Mosier, was trapped in the backseat of the pickup. She was transported by LifeTeam to a Wichita hospital.

They were not wearing seatbelts.

Responders included personnel from Peabody police, fire, and ambulance departments, Marion County Sheriff's Department, Florence ambulance, Florence rescue, and Marion County Road and Bridge employees who cut back trees to provide access to the vehicle.
