Willie Osburn
Funeral services will be held Friday at Peabody for retired machinist Willie R. Osburn, 78, who died March 6, 2003, at Evans, Ga.
Born April 28, 1924, at Hackett, Ark., he was the son of the late Garland and Leslie (Hamby) Osburn.
He married Dorothy S. (Tiede) Osburn Dec. 28, 1948, at Herington. She died April 4, 2002.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his son, Gary L. Osburn, Evans, Ga.; daughter, Jeannie Grippin, Great Bend; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Robert Kloth officiating. Private burial will be in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, also of Peabody.
A memorial fund has been established in his name at the church.
