Willie Klingenberg

Willie H. Klingenberg, 92, of Peabody, died Dec. 3, 2006, at Newton Medical Center, Newton.

Born Feb. 22, 1914, at Hakendorf, Germany, he was the son of Herman and Marie Klingenberg.

He was a rancher/stockman and member of Zion Mennonite Church, Elbing.

On April 14, 1936, he married Marie Regier at Elbing. She died in 1999.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Herman.

Survivors include two sons, Victor and Betty Klingenberg of Bentonville, Ark., and Vernon and Carol Klingenberg of Peabody; two daughters, Jacob and Esther Schrag of McPherson and Kenneth and Mary Janzen of North Newton; brother, John Klingenberg of Turlock, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation with family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Zion Mennonite Cemetery.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at Zion Mennonite Church, Elbing.

Memorial funds have been established with the church or with Mennonite Central Committee
