Williams attend grandson's graduation

Bill and Margie Williams attended the graduation of our grandson Carl Williams Saturday evening with Gary Williams and Terry Steinbacher. Carl is a National Vocational Technical honor society inductee. He and one other boy received this honor in welding. We are very proud of him. Terry Steinbacher was our Sunday dinner guest.
Pastor Clint Stopple's message Sunday morning, "What does it mean to be a friend?" was taken from John 15:9-17.

Ladies Aid met last Thursday. Those present were Denise Lang, Patti Mitchell, Margaret Morgan, and Bev Morgan. Ladies Aid will meet again Thursday.
We extend get-well wishes to Sheldon Harshman who is in a hospital in Nebraska. We wish him a speedy recovery. He is in our prayers.
We extend sympathy to the family of Gladys Lespagnard. She lived in the Wonsevu community many years ago and was a member of the Wonsevu church before moving to Florence.
We also extend sympathy to the family of Phyllis Brosemer. She worked in her daughter Julie's flower shop and was very good at it.
Bev Reynolds went to Winfield Tuesday and saw her son Alan and family, Kelsey and Kelley. She spent two days with them and attended Kelley's jazz concert.
Sunday dinner guests of Roy and Bev Reynolds were Orval Goodwin of Cedar Point and daughter and husband, Kathy and Floyd Dowell of Leon. Roy, Bev, and Orval had lunch Mother's Day with Bev's aunt and uncle Opal and Mark Frederick of Hutchinson.
Hazel Clothier's daughter Teresa Hill of Marion spent Monday with her. Teresa and Kevin Hill treated Hazel to dinner Friday at the Chuck Wagon in Florence.
Julia Smith attended a baseball game Thursday night. She spent Friday evening with Jaimie Lang. Jaimie had several of her friends over for a sleep-over for her 10th birthday. Jaimie's Saturday night guest was Frances Madden of Cottonwood Falls.
Margaret Morgan called Denise Lang Thursday afternoon after Ladies Aid.
