Whitney, Shaw in Newton children theater production
Oliver Whitney of Peabody has been cast as Aladdin in the Newton Community Theatre for Young People production of "Aladdin, Jr." which will be performed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Krehbiel Auditorium on the Bethel College campus.
Former Peabody resident Chris Shaw also has a connection to the production. Shaw is music director. He is a 2000 graduate of Peabody-Burns High School. He majored in music at Bethel College and is the vocal music instructor in the Madison school district.
The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are by reservation and there is a charge. For more information call (316) 283-2757.
Whitney is the son of Mark and Ginger Whitney. Shaw is the son of Mark and Bonnie Shaw and the grandson of Jim and Gladys Preheim. All are from Peabody.
