Chad Litton

Chad Litton says he hopes the summer strength and conditioning program will make him bigger and faster. The 16-year-old junior, who lists football as his favorite sport, plans to be on the Warrior team again this fall.

"He's getting better each week," said Coach Chris Young. "And he challenges other kids to be their best."

Litton also participated in golf last year and enjoys that sport as a hobby, as well as an extracurricular school activity.

Litton's goal for the coming school year is to make As and Bs.

Coach Rob Holopirek notes that Litton is a hard worker. "He brings it each day."

Jonathan Foth

Asked about his personal goals for the coming school year, Jonathan Foth said he wants "to get good grades and do just as good (or better) in football as last year's team."

Foth, who also participates in track and swim team, lists the "squat" as his favorite lifting exercise and swimming as his favorite sport.

Lifting coach Chris Young said Foth will be a player to watch this season. "He is in high demand! Jonathan's work ethic is second to none."

Asked who he admires the most, Foth spread the praise to include his teammates, ". . .all the guys that come into the weight room and come onto the football field and work hard."

Foth, 16, is the son of Brice Foth and Kristi Silvernale.

Eric Buller

Dale and Sheila Buller's oldest son Eric has impressed Coach Chris Young. "Eric is here every morning — and his trip to the school is 15 miles one way!"

Eric, who is 14 and a freshman, participates in football and basketball.

He notes that football is his favorite sport and he is a fan of the Kansas State team.

He hopes to build up strength by participating in the summer conditioning program.

Young says Buller "never complains and just works hard."

Buller's goal for the coming year reflects his work ethic. "I just plan to do the best I can in everything I do."

Jarred Weems

Jarred Weems will head into his freshman year at Peabody-Burns High School with high praise from lifting coach Chris Young.

"Jarred has made the greatest improvement of all of our lifters," said Young. "He's always at the weights at 6 a.m. sharp!"

Weems said he hopes the conditioning program will help him build strength and muscle and lose weight. He lists the "push jerk" as his favorite lifting exercise and football as his favorite sport.

Besides playing football and basketball, his goal for the coming school year is to be on the honor roll each nine weeks.

Asked who he admires the most, Weems said, "My dad, because he is always pushing me to be the best I can be."

Weems is the 13-year-old son of Darren and Annette Weems.
