Warriors shut out in league match-up with Ell-Saline

Peabody-Burns Warriors suffered another league loss Tuesday. The Warriors were defeated by Ell-Saline, 59-56. The squad now prepares for two more league match-ups with Little River and Moundridge.

The Warriors had a hard time early, with cold shooting from the field. The squad also was plagued with early foul trouble, but only trailed by one at the end of the first quarter, 9-8.

The Warriors worked hard on offense in the second period, but shots just didn't fall and the Warriors were behind by three at the second quarter, 22-19.

Caleb Good and Adam Jones scored six in the first half. Mike Cullinane added two and Philip Unruh chipped in five.

Third quarter scoring improved for the Warriors, but Ell-Saline kicked up their offense, scoring 24 points in the period. The Warriors trailed 46-34 going into the final quarter.

Coming on strong in the fourth, the Warriors came to within three of Ell-Saline, but couldn't get any closer. The contest ended with Ell-Saline on top, 59 to 56.

Caleb Good had three treys in the quarter and Nick Conquest had two.
