Warriors lose league match to Berean

At home on Friday, the Warriors lost to the Berean Academy Warriors, 57-42. The Warriors are 4-6 overall and 3-3 in league play.

Next up for the team was tournament play Monday through Friday at Burrton. The Warriors will face Quivera Heights in first-round play.

Cold shooting for both Warrior teams started the contest with Peabody-Burns and Berean Academy. Chris Hamm opened the scoring for the Warriors with a two-point basket. The PBHS squad was down by two, 9-7, at the end of the first quarter.

Caleb Good, Nick Conquest, Philip Unruh, and Brennan Commerford all chipped in to score 17 points in the second quarter. The home team Warrior deficit was four, 28-24.

Offensive production for the PBHS squad slowed considerably in the second half. They scored only four baskets in the third and five baskets in the fourth.

The PBHS Warriors lost to Berean Warriors, 57-42.
