Peabody-Burns Warriors played a full week of basketball last week participating in the Bennington tournament.

Playing Goessel on Monday at home, the Warriors had a tough evening, losing 83-43.

Game two of the tourney was in Bennington against Solomon and the Warriors were defeated 64-54.

The PBHS squad claimed their first victory of the season in the tournament, playing Bennington to a 67-52 victory.

The Warriors have a tough league schedule next before Christmas break, playing Canton-Galva and Goessel.

The first game of the tournament was a long night for the Warriors, who were up against the quickness and shooting ability of the Goessel Bluebirds. The first half was close, but the Warriors just couldn't overcome the scoring assault of the Goessel squad. The Warriors trailed by seven at the half.

The second half was tough, as the outside scoring for the Bluebirds picked up. Three-point baskets by the Bluebirds opened a gap for the Warriors that they couldn't close. The Warriors were defeated 83-48.
