Warriors fall to Teutons

Peabody-Burns Warriors played at home Friday against Inman. The team led most of the game, but were edged out late by the Teutons, 45 to 43. Up next for the Warriors are two home games against Remington and Burrton which will end the regular season.
The homecoming contest against Inman opened a little slow on offense with the Warriors cold from the field. They also had trouble handling the ball.
The Warriors were down by four at the end of the first period, 15-11. Caleb Good opened the scoring for the Warriors with a trey.
Offense for the Warriors picked up some in the second quarter and the PBHS squad tied the score, 17-17, then pulled ahead of the Teutons by seven. A late three by Inman cut the Warrior lead to four, 24-20.
Warriors defense fought hard in the third quarter. The PBHS team held the lead, 34-31, at the end of the third period.
An offensive surge by the Teutons gave them the lead early in the fourth and the Warriors couldn't rally to regain it. A late three by Chris Hamm pulled the Warriors to within two, but the game ended in a Warrior loss, 45-43.
