Warriors are 2A powerlifting champs
With a great team effort and some fantastic individual achievements, the Peabody-Burns Warrior Powerlifting team brought home a state championship Saturday. The competition was held at Meade High School.
The Warriors led all teams with a total of 102 team points. Second place went to Meade with 95 points. Fairfield High School finished a close third with 93 points.
Four Warriors named as individual state champions were Chad Flasschoen, bench press; Justin Mayfield, squat; Philip Unruh, clean; and Adam Jones, clean. Jones set a state record in clean and in overall weight.
