Warrior netters 1-1 at Hutch Trinity

The final matches of the regular season played by the Lady Warriors Oct. 9 ended with a win and a loss. They defeated Ell-Saline in three games, 25-18, 14-25, and 25-10. A two-game match loss came in the second contest to Inman, 18-25, 7-25. The squad ends the season with a 15-15 record.

PBHS jumped out to a first-game lead against Ell-Saline with a first-point kill by Danielle Savage. The team continued to build the early lead with serving by Becki Morris that included two aces.

Ell-Saline took the lead at 7-8.

Serving became big late in the match with Jessica Gillet putting up the last six service points that included a kill and two aces.

Julie Wedel iced the victory with two kills and the team took game one, 25-18.

Game two began with a kill by Tabitha O'Neal but Ell-Saline scored the next five points. Ell-Saline continued to dominate the scoreboard with eight unanswered points to put PBHS in a hole at 6-16.

PBHS lost game two, 14-25.

PBHS serving won the third game.

O'Neal put up 10 straight service points, including four aces.

Felicia Pohlman also put together a run of six serves to give the PBHS team a comfortable lead, 17-5. Clarissa Terronez finished the game with five serves, including two aces for the game win, 25-10, and the match.

The Lady Warriors stayed even with Inman early in game one.

At 9-9, Inman pulled ahead to put the PBHS squad down by four, 9-13.

The girls pulled within two, 17-19 on an ace from Bayleigh Clark, but Inman again went on a run and took six of the last seven points and PBHS lost, 18-25.

Game two was dismal as the Lady Warriors got behind and never recovered. PBHS lost the game, 7-25 and the match.

Morris, Pohlman, Savage, Wedel, and O'Neal each recorded kills in the match.
