Warrior JV celebrates perfect season
The Peabody-Burns junior varsity Warriors ended the season with a perfect 16-0 record.
Averaging 60.6 points a game, the Warriors had a team with speed, quickness, and good ball sense. On the defensive end, the Warriors held their opponents to an average of 41 points a game.
The team was coached by Fran Arnett. "This was a great group of young men to work with," said Coach Arnett. "One of the things that impressed me was the intensity and enthusiasm that was shown when they played. I could see them mature into a good team as each game turned into a win."
"No one player scored most of the points," he added. "A different player stepped up for each game. Scoring would be provided by eight to 12 players."
