Volleyball squad adds two wins

The Lady Warriors continued their season at home Sept. 16, hosting a quadrangular. Pretty Prairie, Little River, and Canton-Galva came to town for the contest. The Lady Warriors were two and one on the night.
The Lady Warriors started the evening with the team from Pretty Prairie. Good net play by Gretchen Berns and Sandra McLeod helped the PBHS squad to a 25-17 first game win. Marie Unruh served the first 11 points of the contest.
The second game was close, but a kill by Gretchen Berns ended the game and match 25-18.
The middle match proved the most difficult as the Warriors met Little River. Game one was very close with both squads trading points, but the PBHS team came up short, 24-26.
The Lady Warriors took control early in the second game defeating the Lady Redskins 25-15. Marie Unruh served well, scoring eight in a row.
The third game started slow for the Lady Warriors and they couldn't get on top of the Lady Redskins, losing the game 11-15. The match went to Little River.
The third match of the evening was against Canton-Galva and the Lady Warriors were in complete control. The Lady Warriors coasted to a two-game win, 25-9 and 25-13, with many of the reserves seeing court time.
