Voices to offer singing valentines

Peabody-Burns High School vocalists in the group "Voices" will deliver singing valentines Feb. 13.

The annual event offers an opportunity to send that favorite person a unique valentine. The sender can choose from a selection of four songs and the rendition will be delivered at work, home, or school. Due to student schedules it will not be possible to guarantee delivery at specific times.

This year, "Voices" has teamed up with the Sunshine Preschool board of directors who are selling "Recipe in a Jar" mixes as a special Valentine's Day gift. Anyone wishing to support both groups can have "Voices" deliver the mix along with the singing valentine.

Orders must be made by Monday for the preschool mixes and the singing valentines. Orders for the "Recipe in a Jar" can be made by calling Peggy Phillips at 983-2051 or Cindy Harms at 983-2894.

Singing valentine orders may be taken to the high school office or mailed to PBHS, 810 N. Sycamore, Peabody KS 66866. The singing valentines are $3 each and advance payment is necessary.

"Voices" performs under the direction of Steve Glover. Students in the group are Megan Cox, Amy Faunce, Dalli Jo Hammond, Sara Hoffmann, Adam Jones, Ashley Miller, Christina Newfield, Amber Spechtenhauser, Andrew Topham, Jason Unruh, Marie Unruh, Michael Unruh, Jarred Weems, and Oliver Whitney.
