Virginia Obrig
Virginia Morgan Obrig, 97, died Oct. 15, 2006, in Greenwich, Conn., two days after suffering a stroke.
She was born Jan. 15, 1909, in Peabody, and was the daughter of George and Carrie (Brewer) Morgan. She and her family moved to Boston when she was a child.
Virginia married Gordon Obrig in New York City. Since 1949, the Obrigs resided in Greenwich, where they raised their two children, Alice Marie and Tom.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Survivors include a daughter and son, and one grandchild.
Memorial services will be held Nov. 18 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Greenwich.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Peabody Historical Society for support of the Morgan House museum.
