Virginia Johnson
Virginia Frances Johnson, 69, died Sept. 29, 2003, at Wheat State Manor, Whitewater.
The daughter of Don Paul and Edith (Hopper) Young, she was born Feb. 23, 1934, at Muskogee, Okla.
On March 21, 1957, she married Herbert Johnson at Nagoya, Japan.
She was a retired bookkeeper.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert of Whitewater; two sons, Brian Johnson of Whitewater and Todd Johnson of Roy, Wash.; a daughter, Kimberly Matson of Wichita; a brother, John Young of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Theresa Alloway of Tulsa, Okla., and Mary Krugman of Los Angeles, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
The Rosary was recited Thursday evening at Bob Lamb Funeral Home, Whitewater.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Newton, with Father Floyd McKinney as celebrant.
Memorials have been established with Wheat State Manor or Whitewater Consolidated Fire District.
