Virginia Catlin
Funeral services for Virginia B. Catlin, 75, were held Sunday afternoon at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.
Her son Dan Catlin officiated. Shirley Bowers played the piano. Burial followed at the Marion Cemetery.
Catlin was born Jan. 1, 1928, at Woodward, Okla., the daughter of Allie and Mattie (May) Fishburn.
She lived in Wichita for a good part of her adult life. She taught school and was a volunteer to help others to learn to read. She also operated a tavern for some years.
She died May 29, 2003, at Stormont-Vail Hospital, Topeka. Survivors include sons, Dan of Florence and Eric of Georgia; daughters, Sharon (Shar) Cox of Topeka and Linda Aggson of Anthony; brothers, Kenneth of California and Rolly of Texas; sister Doris Bosley of Hutchinson, 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah's Branch Homeless Mission, Wichita.
