Vacation Bible School will have river raft theme
The annual Peabody community Vacation Bible School will begin July 15 and run through July 19. It will be held at the Peabody United Methodist Church. Youngsters will meet daily from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. daily.
Organizers say this year's Vacation Bible School promises to be an adventure the children will never forget.
"SonCanyon River Adventure" provides Bible teaching with an exciting river rafting theme. The children will have a great adventure — singing, watching skits, creating crafts, and playing games. But most important, say sponsors, will be the survival skills for living that they will discover from the book of Proverbs.
"We are looking forward to sharing this exciting event with the children of Peabody," said Annette Weems, one of the coordinators. "We hope all the children of the community will join us at SonCanyon River Adventure to learn what the Bible says about making wise life choices."
Parents are encouraged to pre-register their children for the event. Registration forms are available at all local churches and at Jim's Jack and Jill grocery store. For more information, contact Weems at 983-2618.
