UMC hires youth director
Peabody United Methodist Church announces it has hired Christine Allen as youth director.
Allen is a graduate of Southwestern College with a bachelor of arts degree in religion and philosophy. She also has attended the School of Youth Ministry at Perkins School of Theology.
Allen will assume her duties July 14.
Methodist minister Dave Randall said of her, "She has a heart for leading youth to Christ and a passion for worship."
A church picnic will welcome Allen at 6 p.m. July 21. A singspiration will follow at 7:30 p.m.
