U.S.-50 accident injures two years ago
Two vehicles collided Friday morning at the intersection of U.S.-50 and Nighthawk near Peabody.
According to a report from Kansas Highway Patrol, a 1996 Chevrolet pickup driven by Michael F. Reeh, 49, Hillsboro, was southbound on Nighthawk Road when it failed to yield at the intersection and collided with an eastbound vehicle on U.S.-50.
A 1995 Cadillac passenger car, driven by Robert H. Bouton, 64, Mount Hope, was struck in the front driver's side by the pickup truck. Bouton and a passenger, Eileen D. Bouton, 58, Mount Hope, were transported to Newton Medical Center for injuries.
Reeh was alone at the time of the crash and was not injured, reports KHP. The drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts.
