Trojans split, tied with Marion at top
Hillsboro High School volleyball team split two matches Sept. 27 at Smoky Valley.
The 1-1 night gave the team a 5-1 Mid-Central Activities Association record, and 13-3 overall record.
"We got down early and fought back, but it wasn't enough," head coach Sandy Arnold said of the team's first league loss.
The Trojans played Marion Tuesday in a battle for first place.
"Marion is always a tough match," Arnold said.
The Trojans have one league match-up left Tuesday at Hesston.
