Trojans place 11 at MCAA meet years ago

Hillsboro High School wrestlers continued their hot streak with a second-place finish Saturday at Mid-Central Activities Association League meet.
Three wrestlers each took first, second, or third, and two wrestlers finished fourth.
Ric Johnson, Eric Cress, and Andrew Bina continued to carry the Trojans, as all three claimed first place in their respective weight classes. They each knocked off an opponent from first-place Lyons in the championship round.
Johnson was victorious in both his matches at 130 pounds defeating Nathan Willis of Hoisington 25-14, and Colton Clarke of Lyons, 6-2.
Cress, 140 pounds, improved to 16-3 after winning both his matches. He dispatched Haven's Isaiah Reece in one minute, 15 seconds in his first match, and pinned Garrett Ludwig of Lyons in 1:58.
Bina left the tournament with just one loss on the season after sweeping all three of his matches at 152 pounds.
He notched a pin in all three, including one in 2:41 against Lyons' Keanan Kroetsch in the championship round.
Eight other wrestlers placed for Hillsboro giving the Trojans 151.5 points, 25 points ahead of third place Hesston.
